Unfortunately there is not an Xactimate line item charge for the Interceptor but you can add a footnote with a $5-15 dollar a day charge and a note explaining the charge:
When drying a hardwood floor over a crawlspace the Injectidry HP system will pull the air from the crawl space into the home. The Interceptor is necessary to eliminate the possibility of cross contamination by stopping potential contaminates (insulation fibers, dust, rat feces) that are drawn through the flooring during the drying process. It also protects the blower from cross contamination from one job to the next.
The Interceptor is not intended to replace a HEPA Air Scrubber to control air quality of the work space. The Interceptor is not intended to process ambient air. It should be used to processes the air being drawn out of the flooring.
Another purpose of the Interceptor is to protect the HP machine from buildup of dust over time. Very fine drywall dust and sawdust can be present in the flooring. The suction from the HP machine will pull this fine dust through the cracks in the floor. This dust is usually wet so it sticks to the inside of the motor and can cause restriction, overheating and eventually ruin the blower. Particulate damage voids the warranty of the machine.
